Just click the month you are planning to move here in 2004.

You can also add more detail in a post if you want to.
eg: how many of you, where are you going to stay to begin with, etc...

Flying 14 July, arriving 15 July in Perth.
Will be staying the first few weeks at friends house(s).

Reasons:
We already decided to migrate about 2 years ago, but I wanted to finish my degree first (sometimes wonder why, but oh well)
I will finish end of June, my diploma ceremony will be on 9 July, and our leaving party in Saturday 10 July.

We are leaving that quickly mainly because of jobs. The later in the year we get there, the quicker it will be summer holidays, with much less chance of jobs till feb.
Also, otherwise I would have to find a job here to fill in the time (not that that would be so difficult, but I can't be bothered, and we just want to get to Oz quickly) The sooner we get there, the sooner we work out if Oz is for us and we move back, on, or stay!!

Our stuff will be shipping out beginning of June. The rest of the time we are staying at parents houses.
This way, we will have a few weeks in Oz to find a rental, and then our stuff will arrive. THis way we don't need expensive furnished.

Oh, another plus will be that we gradually get used to the weather leading up to summer.
THough hopefully it won't be to cold in July.

Ah, weathers never perfect, anywhere!

We are off to Perth in December - will be renting for 6 mths or so - maybe Secret Harbour/Mandurah way. Am still deciding whether to stay in UK & celebrate the new year with the family & then travel about 3 January & hopefully have time to get the kids in a school. The debate goes on!!!

cheers

If you are going to a State school, you only need to turn up on the day, and the school will have to take your children.

Good tip Simone about looking for a job before the summer. Hopefully this will aid the wife when he goes hunting for a part time job.
