Places like Applecross near the city are expensive. But just like North, there are plenty of Poms when you get 20km south

Loads of good places to settle SOR. We Live in beeliar, bit sleeply here., not too pricey. Freo town Great food places and loads of pubs. Port coogee is on its way, looking forward to it, hope it has plenty of pubs & food places too. SOR is great.

In a word Katie - Nothing!

Booragoon is a great place to live - 5 mins walk to Garden City - a great shopping mall, 10 mins drive to Freo, 12 mins drive to the city, good road and bus connections via Kwinana freeway, and later this year railway connection to city or south to Mandurah. Good housing, a sprinkling of Brits but thankfully not too many! and a relatively safe and trouble free area. We have a friendly neighbourhood where the children play out in the quiet street - we live in a no through loop, and we have communal street parties and BBQs - our immediate neighbours are South African, 2x Oz, a long time ex UK couple and a Malaysian couple.

However if you need to live in areas with high percentage of Brits around you then don't consider Booragoon, Applecross etc - you will need to go north to the newer suburbs around Joondalup or south to Rockingham or further south to Mandurah etc

Any more info needed please give me a PM

Good luck
Peter

Thanks for your replies,
We love Booragoon but dont think we'll be able to afford to buy there just yet. More likely to try south lake or further down to beeliar but dont wanna be to far down south
And we are not bothered about being in a brit community after all thats why we're leaving. :)

Yes these are expensive areas but there are some reasonable ones too - slightly further out and less popular for the time being until the new rail link opens up.
Btw - Mosman Park is NOR and expensive!
