What's wrong with my mouse ?
Appear to be having issues with my mouse.
I've cleaned the fluff out of it ( produces the same warm feeling as picking ear wax), but it's still not pointing where i want it to
Any ideas?

Have you scraped all the fluff off the moving bits inside? (sounds painful doesn't it!). Also, how is the mousemat......mine has problems when I spill beer on it.....!

Sorry - feeling in a jocular mood. Have you washed the little ball thing with warm water and a drop of washin up liquid? Give it a good dry and put it back in and make sure the little lid thing is on firmly.
That is about as far as my technical expertise goes - Scutter - can you help?

A guy where I worked before had mouse problems and used to bang it on the desk to clear it. One day he banged it so hard it just flew apart.....bits of mouse all over the room! Try explaining THAT to the IT dept!!!

Optical mice are worth the extra cost. No moving parts to get clogged up. I will never go back to balls.
