Cold winds usually come when the Brisbane Ekka is on. Well cold by Qld standards anyway...

Sunshine coast. 24C coming up the nicklin way by the beach if the big temp thing is correct. The nights are still great, cool enough for a log fire.

Did Pilates on the deck of our acerage at sunrise. Juiced fruit and veg from the gardens, felt like I was in a scene from some idiotic facebook page Then reality hit and did some work, but nice day for buying shares

Tomorrow is supposed to be 26, bit warm for winter, but most people would love that, as long as its still cold at night OK with me.

I'd do the same but I prefer to wait until the next big hiccup in the US to go shopping at bargain prices. Until then I'd rather not stress it as buying/trading now is ok as long as it does not coincide with Wall Street tanking.

How long do you plan on maintaining your positions?

26C with clear skies tomorrow in Surfers Paradise.

Then again isn't Perth luckier than the rest with regards to water (sea) temperatures relative to the climate?

Doesn't matter how warm the water is - the number of shark attacks there might prevent me from getting in!

We'll see next month.....

Lovely today. About 23 all day. We have the woodburner going but I'm not sure we need it, I've got the ceiling fan on

Sitting on the patio and it's currently 21 degrees. Haven't even got the heater on bit might go throw a jacket on over my jumper.

I'm not sure Astera, I just know that it was piggin' freezing! We're moving to the UK by the end of the year, so I guess I'll have to get used to it

Hell Yeah! I just made it home in time & now the rain is absolutely belting down. The sound on the roof is deafening so there may be a bit of hail in it.

We only got a short drizzle over in Surfers that might have turned into a small shower for several minutes at most.

Made me reverse today's walk between Surfers and Broadbeach by taking the tram there and walking back instead of the other way around. No biggie - but I prefer to have the sun behind me...

Bit of wind, bit of rain, all over fairly quickly here in Brisbane, then back to warm and sunny for the rest of the day.

Heat storm around 5pm. umm isn't it winter? temps on highway reading 31 today, I went walking on beach at 8am in yoga pants and a lightweight long sleeve shirt. Note to self, remember your location before dressing like that.

Cooler tomorrow 21 or something predicted. much preferable.

Beach was very interesting however. Saw a whale, not unusual but always nice.

Also saw a young woman dancing enthusiastically on top of the headland, all alone, dancing away, on my walk down and on the way back 40 mins later. Can you imagine having the confidence to take your exercise dancing alone on top of a headland with ocean all around you?

She was getting some weird looks too, just happily carried on

I've been thinking lately about where the best climate in Australia is to be found. Of course there's a huge difference between living here permanently and just spending a few months in Australia each year - something that my parents do. To them Cronulla is paradise, probably because they are only here from November to April.

IMO the Gold Coast is as ideal as it gets in Australia if you were to live here all-year-round. But when it comes to big cities I would easily give the gold medal to Brisbane. Then again I am the sort of person that would absolutely love Darwin...
