Day 60 of no rain I believe. Looking very dry around here. We really could do with a sprinkle or two. 24 degrees today, down to 21 now.

5.6mm of drizzle here overnight and woke up to some light mist. We're having a bit of a cool spell now after a fairly mild start to the month. Around 12C here today and 16.5C in Melbourne.
Brisbane should stay pretty dry as long as the Indian Ocean Dipole is in the positive phase. The borderline El Nino is not helping either. It's also keeping things relatively dry here but we are picking up moisture from further south in the Indian Ocean at times and also from southerly winds. The anomalously cool waters around Sumatra are causing dry air to prevail over the northern two thirds of the continent.
It should all break down by November, and then QLD will get smashed by severe storms IMO.

And me! The 13th was brass monkeys in Mellie, well it was after leaving here!
Had about 4mm of rain in the tank last night so we must have had a fair amount fall. Nice to be back in proper spring weather, sorry Melbourne, sort your weather out!
