Believe me it was unbelievable for that time of the day. Been here longer than a lot of you have been alive! It has cooled to 35.2, 10.15pm, just had a swim so feeling good.

Yep - the heat we have had today has usually been broken by a nice wind whipping up and a fantastic light show! I prefer it that way!

45 out in Westmead where I work today. We got back to Epping and our outdoor thermometer said 48

but that can't be right.

I checked out Darwin over the last few days, famed for its humidity levels, and we have had it worse here.

It was a hot and uncomfortable night last night - temps were hovering around 30 degrees. But we had a bit of light rain earlier and it's brought it down to a more comfortable 27. Going to buy another couple of fans today.

Ah well......at least us roaches are not staring into the face of a Cat 5 cyclone with 280km winds coming at us. Now that one cool change I dont wanna have to sit through. Give me 90% and 30 plus degrees anyday.
