I'm sure these packers get bored and look around to see what daft thing they can pack, just to have a laugh about imagining the reaction when it's unpacked at the other end. I would

Shredded paper from the paper shredder, takeaway menus left for the new owners, junk mail, oh and the keys to the window locks...

I left the guarantees and instructions to all the built-in appliances/alarm/boiler etc and all the keys God ever made for the shed/garage/back-gate/windows/doors etc clearly seperated. All packed. When they finally arrive here - bearing in mind they're still sitting in Liverpool 1month after they were supposed to have left - I have to post them all the way back again.

I do have to smile tho' when I think of the new owners dragging the bins over the garden fence to be emptied every Thursday

Our packers packed a cake tin with cake in, arrived here in perfect condition, but felt after 3 months it had to be binned.

Our packers ate some Ferrero Rocher from a half finished box I'd forgotten I had (they could have had them all if they'd asked!) then packed the empty wrappers.

The lid of a butter dish that was broken...and a washer from the garden hose! Both in one huge box, and a tonne of brown paper!

My Australian packers packed the keys of the car I had just sold, and the keys to the house I was moving out off. OMG the problems they caused me that day. They denied it of course, and pretended to look for them. Of course they turned up in Scotland 12 weeks later.
Bloody Idiots!!!!!!

Our packers in India literally packed every single thing in our apartment. We didn't realise any of it was in there and customs in Australia didn't even check any of our stuff (which worries me - coming from India EVERY container should be thoroughly checked).

Every candle, light globe - everything - came wrapped in an entire newspaper and often in its own box.
