We are coming to perth in a couple of weeks and are looking to rent for a few weeks in clarkson -have read varying reports on it any one got any idea what its like??

We live in Clarkson Somerly, which is the new estate and we love it here.
We also got mixed reports mainly from people who have never lived or visited the area.

There is a train station, ocean keys shopping centre, and soon to be Pub Lots of parks with BBQ areas, 5mins to beach and another popular pub

Sure you will get mixed reports but come and see for yourself.

You hear of lots of negative about clarkson but had a friend living there and I must admit its beautiful around there.
The place is full of English so really its like living in the UK.I rather live with a bit more of a mix of people.

We live over the road from Clarkson in next suburb and find the place very nice. It has had bad press over the years and alot of it is totally unjustified this reflects in the house prices but IMO get in now before they rise as fast as everywhere else, excellent value for your money. There is everything you need excellent transport links, shopping and nearby beaches. The new part (Somerly) looks stunning lovely parks and ponds.
