We have a 10 year old daughter who is currently in Year 5. She was born in January 1998. Just trying to get a feel for the differences in the education system.

she will more than likely stay in year 6, depends on where you go.
My daughter is july 98 and drops to year 5 in WA and my other daughter is Jan 97 and will stay in year 7.

Hi,

My niece was born in Jan 98 and she is currently in year five in queensland.

we have spoken to a few schools for our twins who were born july 98 and we were told they would also be put in year 5 at present. However official cut off june. Because we are moving in Nov they would rather they go in to finish off year five again for their last school month and start year six in Jan instead of repeating a whole year again and perhaps get bored. apparently there is some degree of discretion.

hope thats not to confusing and helps.

Think it depends where you go.

someone did put up a link about the schools but cant remember who.

Do a forum search and you should be able to find it.

we did one on the CSA and got loads of info.

good luck
