What would you loot?

I'd go straight to the Apple Store. First off, smashing that glass frontage would be great fun, then it'd be a case of which MacBook to nick first? Air or Pro?

Nothing. Looting is theft.
Of course in a post apocalyptic world if necessary for survival, and I had none of the following, this is what I'd try to get.
contact lens solution
bottled water
sterilising tablets
tinned food
tin opener
billycan
tent
sleeping bag
sharp knife
rucksack
tarpaulin
rope
warm clothes
needles and thread
scissors
first aid pack
seeds and trowel
but preferably a nice strong man to carry it all and do all the tricky bits

And how long does tinned food last anyway? In that movie, they'd been living in post-apocalyptic times for 10 years but the tinned stew and pears were still edible...hmm...

Re: What would you loot?
Okay, everything made sense to me but the contact lens solution...if the world's gone down the pan (a la The Road etc.) trying to keep my lenses clean wouldn't be my main priority...I'd be wearing glasses and hoping the heck that they never broke.

Apparently, Canning provides a typical shelf life ranging from one to five years, although under specific circumstances a freeze-dried canned product can last as long as 30 years in an edible state
