They will be living in it to avoid the tax when they do sell. They are moving to Brisbane with the profits.
I think Burns has been spoilt now, just another suburb, too many houses close together.

A whopping AUS$6.0 million is now no longer a pie in the sky figure since mining magnate Angela Bennett reportedly paid a record price of $8.0 million for her ‘u-beaut’ Penthouse Suite in West Perth.......... plus luxury units in the proposed Kingdom Development complex on South Perth’s foreshore sold off the plan recently for $4.9 and $5.1 million respectively!

'Our' penthouse suite is split-level and has over 500 m2 floor space plus 3 parking bays. My missus and I were blown away when we did a recent photo shoot................ it was indeed a real eye opener to see how the other half live.

Viewing strictly by appointment.................... so give us a bell.
Very nice, is it one of those new towers by the Casino?

Where do you live....... are you up that way too? We are at Carramar which at most is 10 minutes away from Burns Beach.

I know what you mean re spoiling Burns Beach............. it used to be in the bush once upon a time............. not anymore. I guess in some people's eyes that's progress?

I have a 688 m2 block just off Burns Beach Road at Venice Entrance which I have had a lot of interest in of late; actually got a subject sale offer on it right now............. got an unconditional offer on it very late last night but still have to do a bit more running around as they were a bit shy with the price......... should get it over the line soon though.

It would cost a shedload and Beenleigh would be under water, not a bad thing.

Yeh that's right Steve.

It was very handy the other week when we went to see Bob Dylan at the dome as there wasn't any parking for miles and miles.......... so we nipped in there.

Agree here. There are lovely area's, just too far away from the work for us.

There's also Port Noarlunga - has a bit of a rep, but I like it down there. Probably more places too, not looked for a while.

Also if you build, you could get something pretty decent for around $300. There's lots of new suburbs popping up all over SA, with a plan for loads more in the future.

Never understood the attraction of water. There's nothing there but bare-arse.

I look out to sea from parts of the M peninsula from some homes and there might be a distant cargo ship on the horizon - big deal.

Give me mountains and vallies any day.

Round here old dunga with a road between you and the beach, around 1.5 million, old knock downs actually with a bit of sand/waves in sight go 2.5 - 3.5and up.

So where is the dream still affordable.

As Debs said house on Hedges Avenue go for a minimum of $1 and they are the old beach shacks. I would hate to live there. The road is really narrow and the houses are packed in like sardines - hear the neighbours fart for $5 million - I'll give that a miss thanks.

This guy has the right idea.

Blimey that is cheap, especially when you compare it to the Industrial surrounded suburb of Altona, where you have to drive past most of the Oil refinery capacity of Victoria.

Still only 12ks from the city though, and this is probably one of the top ten houses in Altona.

2.3 mill gets you

I have actually viewed that very house! And it just goes to show how property descriptions are misleading! Yes it's on a biggish block - in fact next door which is not for sale is on an acre. However as to being near the sea - as the crow flies it is near the sea but you do have to get across Kananook Creek, so you have to walk about 15-20 mins to get to the sea, and you can't see the sea from the house.

The house itself is very small, and needs a lot of money spent on it. Also there is a lot of road noise from the Nepean highway in the yard.

For all the above reasons I didn't buy it.
