Question What will it cost to turn on the light??

Hi!

When I look at rental ads, does the weekly rent include water, gas and electricity? if not, does anyone now what it will cost approx for two people??

Thanx

No its doesnt include utilities except water and rates. You pay for the electric and gas if installed. Electric costs can vary if you have an aircon system and/or pool. Ballpark with aircon ? Maybe $300 every 3 months ?

Peoples use will vary up or down of course.

My partner and I live in a 3 bedroom rental house in Canberra.

Our electricty bill is usually around 200 AUS dollars per quarter (we are both out working during the day). We don't have gas or air conditioning.

Water is included in the rent but I think if you use above a certain amount then you will be charged the excess. (We have never been charged anything for water).
