Default What to wear to interviews

What is acceptable clothes-wise to wear to interviews in Australia?

Would these be OK shoes for an interview?

I'm just trying to figure out if there's anything I should get before I go.

Hi Laura,

Well im no woman, but i would say there suitable. I think you can comfortably say that the dress code for interviews all over the world is roughly the same - smart. For men, shirt, tie, pants, jacket, smart shoes. Women, blouse, pants/skirt, suitable shoes. But then again i am speaking from the perspective of a 19 year old so..

Don't forget trousers if you're a man.

I would say those shoes are fine, except for here in Melbourne where it seems to start to rain as soon as you step out of your house, in these circumstances I would advise a pair of nice black leather boots with a pixi heel and perhaps a stitching detail from the toe to the calfankle. Today is the day I must go out and buy some civilised clothing for interviews and work, sigh...

Saw a former workmate today, he was going to an interview. Fine you say, dark suit, white business shirt, pink tie ...... but the shoes ... western cowboy boots (complete with stitched design).
