Looks like some form of coral snake to me. I've found one in our pool in the past and don't want another...

Poor thing was probably hot. It's rather pretty with all those stripes, eh?

I saw my first snake last week; unfortunately it was laying flat across Connolly Drive.

Ok, after some research and lots of piccies of snakes, I think I found him here. He's a relatively harmless west coast banded sand snake.

It's a West-coast Banded Sand Snake, a harmless mildly venomous burrowing snake that feed on lizards.

Where's its head? Did you know it's illegal to kill snakes?

Is it really illegal to kill snakes? Why? Surely that would be ones immediate reaction if a snake was invading ones home?!

Dropped by a bird flying overhead I'd say.......... happens a lot.........

Anyway I'm out of here (Saudi) tonight for 3 weeks in Oz (via Bangkok), so keep the snakes away please.......
