What is the tax situation?

If you move to Australia, rent out your house and have shares in a UK company where do you stand with regards to tax? Do you pay UK tax or Oz tax? Also will you be affected by capital gains tax in the UK if you sell your property in say five years time?

All overseas income is liable for tax in Australia.

CGT depends on whether you buy another property in Australia or not.

There are different tax rules for different visas....best to take expert advice.
