Hiya.....
I would say if your shipping by container, take everything!!! but if your leaving a property and large contents is the extra cost of transporting the 'junk' worth it??? C x

'Junk' can be quite expensive to replace, if it includes tools etc. If you can clean it up properly and it all works well then I'd say take it.

Bought all my tools and things, as we were paying for a container anyway. You'll be amazed at how quickly your bank balance goes down by just buying 'Bits and Bob's'

Find a supplier of UK - Aus adapters in the UK, call them up and ask for a discount for buying in bulk. I did this both times I have moved between countries and ended up buying about 20-30 of them pretty cheaply all in. Then you have them permanently on all your electrical stuff with no need to buy and fit new plugs etc. And take everything - no need to worry about things. The only issue is with the TV tuner, easily remedied by using a separate tuner (ie Aus built VCR, Foxtel etc) through the AV ports. If DVD player is multi-region you'll be fine.

As others say, take as much as you can. Cost of selling in UK versus cost and hassle of buying in Aus is not always the best option...
