Default At what stage?

Was wondering what everyone else did when they were applying for their visa?

Put house up for sale before or after it was granted, or at any other time during the process?

Also, has anyone had any nightmares where it ended up selling too soon, or not in time?

We've got Visa burning a whole in our pocket. Going to put house on market after xmas as don't think we'll get many viewing over that time. Hope it sells quickly and we get the money we want. Having nervous breakdowns in between! Trying to get work done and keep sane....Fighting a loosing battle!

Cheers

We're waiting until they say the Visa has been issued before selling, the main reason being that houses round here are sold within seven days of going on the market.

Also, don't want to be tempting fate!!!

just passed the TRA last week and are going straight into the main application . the house is going on the market after the new the year, we still have one or two bits that need to be done so when they come round they don't hammer us to much on the price. still fingers crossed for a smooth sailing.

house sold about 11 weeks ago now and just got the visa this morning so hopefully all will go well with the sale of the house.
But we waited til we had sent the meds off then put the house on the market because at that time it was 3-4 months til you got your visa.

I live in lovely (not) Bradford, where I am is quite popular with our Chinese friends at the moment. This is brill for us as they don't mess you about and don't have a chain behind them.

The house two doors down was completed within five weeks of the board going up.

We put ours on after visa granted, due to the fact we had read few threads latley where passed TRA but failed on Visa mainly through meds. I suppose its a bit of a gamble but people still do it without visas.

we sold our house, before visa was granted and moved into our inlaws, glad we did it as the visa was granted today and we can go when we decide not when we have sold the house, also most of the packing has been done, it is a gamble but i think you should take it
