I don't think by this you are saying all (or even most) firies start fires as I believe you said some
But from what I remember as a kid in the news it was reported they were mainly kids and people who 1. Threw cigarettes out of car windows 2. Left glass bottles etc around 3. Didn't put out their bbq's or camp fires

Having said that, most wasters and nutters don't last long because it's such hard work, as you know. For every 20 blokes/women that turn up to volunteer only 1 is still in the brigade a year later. My brigade has extremely high standards, we may be volunteers but we are not amateurs. |

Do they have volunteers for other tasks? I would be very suprised if my husband or I would make the grade:) but we would like to volunteer for something (we will be going to Adelaide/SA not WA but I just am asking generally)
