Ahhhh but the lifting and more often sinking of paving is caused by air and not water. |

Excuse me and with all due respect but this is b*ll*cks... I live in deepest greenest houses-cheek-by-jowel suburban Surrey and I have one of those "rainwater..wasted away down the plughole and into the ground for good..." things. It's called a soakaway here! :D |

Talking about soakwells/soakaways... it's a very long time since I did Geography at school, but don't wells draw their water from the water-table, which is all the water which soaks into the ground and collects in the rocks... water which soaks in from the rain, and from ..... well, soakaways.... so in fact, none of it is wasted... just goes around and around and around.....! :D
