That would be from Malaysia, Indonesia - right?
I plan to keep the my antique furmiture (sentimental reasons) for life. The other teak wood furniture is about 15 years old - but very good quality and heavily carved, which we bought in India. I was wondering if I could sell that in Aus.
We are posted in the Midde East now, and there are no antique dealers here. Meanwhile I shall check the sites suggested by Ceri.
Thanks

Depends what they are, things like carved camphor wood blanket boxes like meg has said you can get here cheap, but they are not as good quality as some of the ones in Asia. I bought a blanket box in an importers warehouse in Singapore - very heavily carved, I think it cost me $50 at the time, I have also bought one in Aus $100 - but the difference between the quality is huge. The Aus one is very rough, the one from Singapore the wood is thicker and more delicately carved - you can spot the difference a mile off. The one I bought in Aus looks cheap compared to the one I bought in Sing.
It's a hard question, there used be some beautiful furniture in Sing from heavily carved cabinets, screens etc, beautiful dining tables - and I haven't seen the like here. Wish I'd stocked up on a few items. I don't want to advise you on this, because there are carved pieces - then there are carved pieces! if you know what I mean. If you love your furniture - bring them with you, to replace things will cost you a fortune anyway.
Maybe if you do a search for Asian furniture shops/web sites in Aus - you can compare your furniture with what is here and the prices.
Here's a few search engines - this one below is a list of worldwide engines, there's an Australian list there too.
