What should we be doing now we are here
 

Seems a silly question, but apart from banking and looking for a car what else should we be regstering for?where can you register for medicare?
I know it will be probably all on here but do not want to trawl through the pages.
Arrived in Geelong Sunday night so early days and love the look of mornington peninsula so will be looking to settle somewhere there, bring some jumpers, bit chilly in the morning~!!!!!!!! All good though!:thumbsup:

might need to get your driver's license changed over to an Aus one (depending on the rules down in victoria)

Need to get yourself a tax file number

depending on your income, you should most probably obtain private healthcare

Go to your local medicare centre and register there for healthcare

Lucky you! Just throwing this out there... ever visited the Bellarine, south of Geelong - it's stunning - that's where we're planning to settle, if we ever sell our house!.... oh yes and big priority is chilled bucks fizz for Xmas morning!
