Default What should I buy and send in a box before I leave? Favourite things!

I am sending some boxes to Australia but not shipping via a container. A box is forty pounds to send with a 40kg weight limit. We thought we would send some of our favourite items but don't want to waste money if we can get them in Australia.

Firstly, I am a contact lens wearer, when my luggage went missing on our last trip I had to buy more cleaning solution. I like the one step, no rub, fizzy peroxide one. Not only was this hard to find but it was VERY expensive. I pay £7 for a one month bottle. Should I bring some with me or did I just look in the wrong shops when I tried in Australia during my holiday.

Secondly, in Australia will I be able to easily buy:

Holland and Barrett stuff - Milk Thistle (for my liver cleansing after excessive alcohol ), St Johns Wort (for my mad cows disease! ), evening primrose (I am a woman! ) etc

Marmite

Robinson Squash (just interested could not possibly ship)

English Mustard

Thanks for your help

Tara

You will either get them there or be able to get the same via internet. Some might take a bit of looking for, others won't.

Tara, you can get Marmite here fairly easily as well as English Mustard (quite a few brands). You used to be able to buy Robinsons squash (called cordial here), but I havent looked for it anytime recently, so Im not sure if its still sold here.

Dont know about any of the others, sorry.

Please can you tell me who you are doing this through - that sounds like an absolute bargain, and is just what I need.

Thanks

Hi
they do seem reasonable and others have recommended them on this forum.
See the link below, also the smaller box is in fact £20 each also with a 40kg allowance (better for bookd etc.)
It is door to door too. Our boxes are being delivered this Saturday. you can order more boxes than you need at no extra charge (just in case you estimate incorrectly)

Ali's prices are for shipping by sea. If you want to send stuff by air to Oz with SevenSeas look here for prices: http://www.sevenseasworldwide.com/uk...a/aurates.html
(scroll down for the air rates).

If sending stuff by air, then "Excess Baggage" are cheaper:http://www.excessbaggage.co.uk/
Click on "baggage shipping", then on "air freight prices".

This is a very good point as 10 weeks is a long time without some items. My PC is going with Seven Seas but I am buying a laptop when I arrive in Australia. VOOVIT.com might also be worth a look but I think they only do door to port which is a bit of a bind.
