Re: What is a POM?
Most people at work don't call me a pom. A new manager made a derogatory comment regarding pommie technical ability. Comment was duly noted and it seems that managers managerial capability is lacking and he won't make the 3 months. I have heard other negative comments regarding the English such as whinging pommie w@nk$r. These were from the less mentally able. People are welcome to use the term "Pom" when joking around but I look right down on them if it is used seriously in a negative way.
For so called professional media to use the term is hypocritical. |
