What paperwork/records should we take?
D-day getting even closer. On Friday our shipping is picked up, on the 4th we fly. I've just had a hernia repair op (great timing huh!) so right now all I can reasonably do is sort through paperwork. Left it a bit late, I know, but I'd like thoughts on what I should take, what I can destroy, what I can leave behind in my mum's loft for storage.
Wage slips, P45s, P60s, etc?
Pension statements? (Ultimately may transfer pension pots to Oz scheme).
Medical records - have copies from GP. Dental - have copies of recent x-rays.
Car & motorbike - proof of no claims bonus?
Anything else a disorganised idiot like me may not have even though of?
Should I try to take testimonials from my last two employers, or rely on prospective new employers to ask for references?
Cheers

Don't be offended if doctors and dentists are not interested in the records. I'm assuming no children where innoculation records are required, GPs and dentists prefer to make their own records. Obviously if you have had major issues where you need dates etc they'll come in handy. You have them so bring them though.
Whilst it may sound stupid, don't forget to keep passports, tickets etc away from anything the packers will go near. It has happened in the past where emergency trips have been made to docks to have containers opened to rescue the passports that had been 'put in a drawer for safe keeping'.
