Default What paperwork do you take with you to Oz?

Hi All

Just wondering what sort of paperwork people are taking (if any) to Australia?

Obviously medical records (or not) but any of the stuff you have sitting in filing cabinets etc? Not really sure what to do with it all (insurance, pension details and so on).

Any thoughts appreciated thanks.

Hi Ivan,

We have sold our house so don't have any paperwork for that one.

We are on a sponsored visa and are taking:

Visa info, bank references, details of our shipping company and agent, pensions stuff, will, life insurance stuff, driving licences, car insurance no claims certificate, a bank statement! mortgage statement, children's immunisation records, i think that's it really!

Just travelling light!

We travelled with a variety of documents ranging from bank statements to credit card statements etc.
The only one we needed was proof of No Claims Bonus from our car insurer.

We also shipped over a years work of statements etc and have not needed them even when we applied for our mortgage.
