In what order do we do things?
Hi,
There is a strong possibility that we may be moving to Australia with my hubbys work. Very early days at the moment but I have started researching various things so that we can be as prepared as possible when the time comes.
We need to be prepared because we have a 19 month old daughter, and another baby on the way due in early Feb (although you never can tell when they will arrive!).
My question is, in what order are things usually done? Can anyone give any examples of how they have organised their move etc? I am slightly nervous about the timings of things, in particular the order in which things are done and the time it takes for the visas to be sorted out, time from putting our house and business on the market to the sale (although this is kind of out of our hands), and the the time between getting the yes (hopefully) about the visas and leaving these shores for sunnier climes!
I am worried that we will have either sold the house before we have the visa approved and therefore be homeless, or that we will have had the visas approved but be stuck because our house hasn't sold.
If anyone can give advice about how they went about things (or are going about things) that would be very useful.
Many thanks,
Debs.

Timeframes will depend on which type of visa you are seeking to obtain.
Is hubby being sponsored or is he going for an independant skilled visa ?
