What or not to take
 

Hi there, I hope someone will be able to help with this little dilema, we have had 3 quotes from shipping companies and they have all said that we might struggle to get all of our furniture into a 20ft container but they wont be sure until it actually gets loaded up -Great, so they said to make a list of what we may not want to take then if it doesnt fit in the container they can give me a seperate price to ship it over. So we were taking over the washing machine with us to tied us over until we bought our new house but do our machines fit their plumming? And how many people took their driers with them? Any helpful tips would be great, I dont really want to leave anything. Hope you can all help:confused:

The shipping guy told us to take our front loader machine... we had a look online and found that a new front loader (the make we have) would cost around $2000!! So we're definitely taking ours now!
The things that we're not to bothered about include stuff like one extra bed, books and some kitchen stuff which is great if it fits but no real drama if it doesn't!

We too are on the 'it might not all fit' road!

Depending on where you are moving to in Australia you probably won't need to take a dryer, we don't have one and we are in Melbourne. Most of the time things dry easily on the line, in winter we always have the heating on anyway so the clothes still dry in a day plus we save on the huge electric cost of running a dryer:thumbsup:
