Of course everywhere has the usual Coles, Myer, David Jones etc but there are some decent speciality shops amongst the 250 on offer....

Indoorpilly sounding the biggest so far, any others? Or wet saturday suggestions for visitors to brisbane.
Been to chadstone melbourne, it was at Xmas was expecting some christmas wonderland but all it had was some very minimal Politically Correct abstract decorations, put me off a bit. Loved the car park tho, huge.

Try Logan Hyperdome. Indooroopilly is lovely, or Garden City at Mt Gravatt or even Carindale. All good.

Plus just in case, you wanted to claim the tallest building, The almost completed Eureka tower is now the tallest Residential only building in the World, and the tallest in Aussie. The mast on Q1 makes it taller, however the highest habital floor on the Eureka tower makes it claim the tallest building.

What are your visitors like? family with kids, or single people etc.
Anyway if I were you visitor I would not want to go shopping especially if I were from Melbourne - surely they have hell of a lot better shops than we in Brisbane have.
If they were my visitors I'd get them some waterproofs and still go out , get the a flasks, some sarnies and the rucksacks... (no wonder my mother in-law doesn't come to visit me anymore lol)
Anyway, some other suggestions:
Bowling, meal and a drink
museum. meal and drink in southbank
Touristy things:
underwater world meal and drink
or what about the Ettamogah Pub and gift shop for the touristy thing
Or skip all those things and just go straight to the drink/ pub bit lol
Have you got a covered patio? what is wrong with a nice meal outside with a good bottle of wine ( or two or three)? and watch the rain in good company - Just have a good old chin wag with good food and wine.
cheers
