Oh dear, I have lied then, my 10 years included 13 trips to england of about 1 month, 4 to canada of similar duration plus 2 spells of 4-6 monthts in the Uk, then add 32 business trips to Asia and USA. Which means I have probably only really been here about 9 months so I am still in the honeymoon phase which is quite bad as the novelty has worn off already.

OK...I've just applied for my chook license. All I need is a 'chook chaser'. (trail bike).

Dotty see what you mean - but coming from London, Melbourne really is a lot nicer. Its all the little things.

Sorry to disappoint the committee - do I get a mention in despatches for at least having a "go'' outback?

Yep, it's a fully paid up member of the 'glass half empty' brigade and no half empty glass is as good as in Blighty of course.

Never mind, he'll probably move on to telling children enjoying Christmas that it isn't real and that Santa is really working for the Lapland Tourist Board.

Still, he's found happiness with his Australian wife 'back in civilisation'.
