Default what happens after acknowledgement received

Hi folks,

Just wondering what happens with your application after you have received your acknowledgement from Dimia. We received ours on 9th March and told we would be contacted again in 4/5 months. Does our application meanwhile sit on someone's desk until they get to it or is it the case that it takes that length of time for the application to be assessed before requesting us to arrange medicals etc.. Any info would be greaty appreciated. Going on a 138 non modl.

thanks

Basically it gets a quick check over to make sure you meet the criteria then it's put to the bottom of the pile. Then when your CO gets to it, they do the initial assessments and checks. Once they are done, your meds are requested along with anything else they need. Once they have everything back and there is nothing else to do, they then decide on if you get your visa.

(Not sure what else is required for your visa class but you get the idea.)
