What to Do??
 

We need to make a decision we have had perm residency for nearly five years have ping pomed back twice since and OH could not find work in OZ. Visa runs out end of Feb. I have a good job to go to so why can we not decide? Is the dream over and will we regret not giving it a proper go feels like we have been living in limbo for four years!:confused:

Well you have been twice so it sounds like you have given it a go. If OH is unable to find work again it isn't likely to work is it?

If you went over once more before February, would the income from your job be enough to sustain you whilst OH tries to find something.

Nobody here can really say what is best for you. Have you tried doing a pros and cons list of each option, we did this, then we gave each point a rating for how important it was and then we totted it all up. It helped us to clarify our thoughts and decide what is important.

What does your OH do? When did you come and how long did you stay for?

We were there (Sydney) for two years from 2004 and came home to sell our house which we sold quite quickly then family stuff happened and stayed here for a lot longer than planned. We then went back in 2009 (Adelaide) only stayed five months as OH could not find any work he is a landscape architect. Now we will only go back to Sydney but can not decide will we regret it? would we regret not/going? who know's it's not an easy discission and I know it is only one OH & I can make. Sunday is our deadline day for decision (hopefully)! :confused:

And other than the lack of work, did you enjoy it?

I think I'd give it one more go if possible.

Start living life and stop living on dreams I reckon. If it hasnt worked the last couple of times (and getting a job is no easier now than it was then) then chances are it is going to be just as difficult this time. If you both have jobs you like doing in a place you like doing them then dont screw it up.

It worked in Sydney (the first time) but not Adelaide (the second time - lack of job cause Adelaide is smaller).

I would give it one more shot in Sydney. If you've a got a good job to go to then get by on that for now.
