And is it worth taking sofa and beds with you?

my brother and sister

and yes if they r in good nick bring em over, you always need more furniture over here especially sofas....we used our futon inside for the first year, now its outside on the patio

My sofa and beds weren't worth the square footage cost to ship out. I chucked them and bought new when we got here. They were about the same price as buying in the UK. Depends if you have much cash when you get here etc. I did bring my dining table, chairs, bookcases etc because they were quite expensive when I bought them..
