What can we expect ?

What can we expect ?
Myself and my wife are hopefuly going to be lucky enough to move to South Oz next year.
I will be going over there working and my wife will be awarded permanent residency due to my position, she wont need skills or a job to get there.
I will be on about $40,000 Aussie Dollars to start and i know my wife will be keen to get working as soon as possible.
We will probably have at least $200,000 cash to spend on a house (equity in our current home) and we will be moving into well subsidised housing once we arrive, so we can save some pennies to start with and then look at buying/building etc.
We have no kids and "finally" no debts to take with us.
I know its a very broad question but what sort of lifestyle can we expect, we wont mind being outside of the big cities.
Any idesa folks?
cheers, Simon & Vicky

There is only one big city in SA. That is Adelaide. The next biggest is Whyalla and there are only 23000 people there.
You really need to look at Adelaide if you are both wanting to work.
Good luck

I will probably be based in Adelaide and will move about from there, are there any suburbs worth paying particular attention to or where i might get more bang for my buck?
I know what my wage gets me over here but what do you need to earn to have a good level of life over there ?
Broad questions i know - sorry about that .
