I remember the days where we never had a washing machine and mum bought my knickers from Tesco.

It was blogging terrible it was.

Oh, and once we didn't have internet. And oh, before that we didn't have television!
I remember the days when as a kid I would keep a paper diary, and actually lock it with its own little padlock to keep it private.

Things seemed to have reversed these days. There are loads of sites on how to get your blog more 'visibility' (i.e. more people to read your diary)

yes, don't get that myself.
Unless it's a commercial one obviously.

I still have a diary with a lock from when I was 15/16. Very interesting stuff in :scared:

I blog.... have been doing it for over 6 years now on my privately owned site specifically for my family and friends to keep up with stuff that they miss being that we are so far away.

Sometimes, it's just easier than ringing 60 people to tell them all the latest news (I got a job, got fired, bought a house ..whatever..)

I regularly check a friends blog to see what's up with her and how her rapidly growing child is changing.

I see nothing wrong or "boring" about it...just depends on who it is and if your interested.

And BTW Rete.... MILLIONS of people watch the soaps daily, riveted by the trite story lines and cheesy acting.... no accounting for taste huh?

he he, no way!

Thing is, it's not long enough ago to be funny. It's still embarrasing.
So maybe in 10 years

Christina. You have put it well. That's part of what I was trying to say too.

I have just started a blog too. It will be for myself(to laugh about in 20 years), and for family and maybe some friends. I will not be promoting it in public! Though, it won't be a very personal one, it will be more about what we do in the weekends etc, with photo's.

Anyway....I really have to go to bed, and Pascal has to go on the computer!!!

The legal age of consent in Holland is 16, and you've got a diary of when you were 16. But your diary is just embarrasing!!!

Oh dear

So no hot sex then?

Cheers,

So for a while, when you did a search on something common that might be mentioned in a blog, like say Weather, you'd get 50 blogs as your top fifty results.

Now that was a few years ago, and they've obviously refined the algorithms to get rid of that dross. But to say, 'no one forces you to read it' is like saying if you chuck 50 copies of 'The Sun' at me, and one page of the thing I want, I shouldn't mind. Well, errrmmm... I do
