Re: wet season in NT ?
All depends whereabouts he'll be working in NT? Did they say?
The water rises and roads are cut off.. it happens literally in a rain storm which can be frequent and fierce..
We drove around NT, but did it in the dry season.. was quite suprised how many "metre" sticks were wedged firmly in the ground to measure the water levels.. they were literally everywhere.. the roads aren't great either.. (highway 1 was sealed) but very basic..,

There are still lots of roadworks happening in Darwin / Palmerston. Tiger Brennan Drive is being upgraded and there are works on the new suburbs in Palmo.
Despite what others may tell you, The NT does not sink in the Wet. Sometimes there are floods, but they are not permanent and people manage to drive around. Sure, the unsealed roads are closed for extended periods, but there isn't much call for cable layers on these roads.
Maybe Scott should try another firm....
