Fraser, I don't know anything about the relationship with Rachel's Mum and the type of person she is, but to leave the UK like this, with bad feeling between you all, isn't a nice situation. Given what she said last night was not nice but surely it's better to try to patch things up before you leave as it may be some time before you all see each other again? Could what she said have been a reaction to the fact that you are leaving and it's an emotional time.

As I say, I don't know your MIL - she may be the biggest bitch this side of the Atlantic, but don't let something like this ruin your last day in the UK - or the start of your new lives in Oz.

I've not seen your other post either. I hope it doesn't spoil your last few hours in the UK (easier said than done, I know ...). At least you can all spoil yourselves rotten in a nice hotel, with lovely, speedy t'internet!!

This is the worst bit; it will get easier once you land. Have a safe flight and I'll look forward to seeing you post in a more reasonable time zone in future!
