The weather is wonderful, not to keen on the thunderstorms though! But the kids don't seem to mind! Moved into the house with no furniture just borrowed mattresses and garden chairs and table from my uncle. First things we have bought are a big fridge/freezer, a washing machine (4 kids remember!) and hubby has bought a 4 x 4 car thing just so he can look like a real Ozzie - until he opens his mouth that is and the welsh accent comes out! Don't think I'll ever be able to park that so he is just going to have to drive me everywhere! I think all the crying over the last few weeks has been worth it - I'll let you know!!!! Good luck with your new life Debs |

You sound a bit like us when we first arrived. Mattresses and garden chairs! Hubbie went out and bought 4 x 4 which I still refuse to drive (so he's driven me everywhere since September!) Rushing out to buy the big fridge/freezer and washing machine. Yes its all very familiar. I'm even half Welsh (but no accent!) We live 3k from the city but we were out your way yesterday cycling from Wynnum to Manly to Lota and back again. Lovely cool breezes and superb fish and chips at Manly. Anyway - welcome - and best of luck with everything. Netta |
