Potty Pete's got himself re-elected so it looks like the country has to suffer at the hands of the city again. Good old Pete, if you live outside of Brisbane he doesn't give a hoot
Qld will end up bankrupt before the end of the decade unless the federal gov steps in.

(Not that he actually managed to achieve anything , but at least he cared about local issues).

was speaking to a patient that had come up from brissy (lives there just visiting rels) and she didn't have a clue that Beatty was planning on stealing our water for the peeps in bris, or that we'd be the ones paying for it with higher rates, or that cattle farmers, decent, normal hardworking people were being forced out of their homes so the Mary Valley could be flooded! She looked at me and said "oh is that waht all the No Dam posters are about?" Ummmmmm

I see Howard and Beazley were in agreement this week, after giving pollies a massive super increase.
But to top it off, while the average aussie worker has to put up with shite work rights under workplace reform, they also voted in a massive redundancy payout for pollies who the public vote out
Howard and Beasley who couldnt agree on the colour of milk, shaking hands and grinning like cheshire cats
