Default Weightwatchers

Does anyone know if they sell Weightwatchers products in Oz? I have 1 year to slim down into my wedding dress and have just finally found a diet that works, but am due to leave the UK in a few months and want to continue it.
I dont remember seeing anything whilst I was there before, but I suppose I wasn't really looking!

(I found that I missed PG Tips Tea and would get my rellies to send them to me on a regular basis)!

Weightwatchers is everywhere down here and so are hteir products...supermarkets sell them all over the place.

Personally, i don't like the concept of weightwatchers...their main aim is to make money out of your misery.

But good luck with your efforts!!

I understand what your saying!
It's the same here, but its dead easy and I dont have to think about it as its all done for you. If I start thinking too much about food then im likely to eat it!
I have just been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and the doctors have told me I need to loose weight also to try and help them "balance everything" so it will help me to start a family. If it does that then im happy to help them make money from my chocolate addiction!!

This will give you some hope regarding your polycystic ovaries and having kids.

My daughter hadn't had a period for over a year. She did not know what was worng but was on a waiting list ot go to see a specialist to find out what her problem was...whilst waiting she became really unwell, being sick and very tired all the time. She was very frightened as she thought she may have the big C or something else really nasty..... turned out ot be quite the opposite..she was pregnant!!!
After my grandaughter was born she finally got to see specialist who told her she had polycystic ovaries and it was highly unlikely she could ever have children (daft bugger hadnt read her notes)..... so my daughter replied... "well how do you explain hte little blonde baby outside...she mine!!!)

His reply... "that ...young lady, is a complete mystery to me!!!"

Don't beleive everything they tell you!!...good luck

Hi Lizzel

A friend who is already down under, joined and they count it very differently over there, apparently it's done in KiloJoules, so not sure if it is the same points system (probably a version of it).

And the meeting cost is $16.95 a week, which is a tad steep.

Having said that am huge fan of WW, lost just over 2 stone now and have managed to keep it off. Good luck with the weight loss and wedding.

I am another success story from weight watcher, I have lost a stone and am now a fully fledge 'Gold' member, apparently if I stay within 5 pounds of my goal weight I don't have to pay for my weigh in, hopefully this will be the same over in Oz.

I have lots of books and things and cook my own meals, I have never bought ready meals on a regular basis so didn't want to start paying out for the weight watchers ones. It is amazing what you can cook up yourself and really enjoy, the whole family is in on it as me and Mum do the cooking and the blokes eat it, and they don't even moan that it's all low saturated fat stuff (they just have double portions) he, he.

Good luck to you and keep going, it's worth it in the end and makes you feel heaps better about yourself.

Bye for now

Now, the WeightWatchers recipe books are excellent. I've a few waiting to come over in storage - looking forward to that!

Not sure where you're heading to in Oz. but when I was there a few immigrants I spoke to talked of the "Sydney stone". There are just so many lovely cafes and restaurants there that it's common to put on a bit of weight!

Have fun.

I did Slimming World while in the UK and lost about 2 stone. I was so pleased I had found a diet that didn't mean counting calories or points. Unfortunatley it should be renamed Slimming UK, as it's only in the UK and certainly not in NZ. I have just checked their web site and you can be an overseas member, but it seems so expensive. Personally I need the motivation of the weekly class and weigh in.

Good luck in the meantime with WW
