Default Wedding Dress

We still have my wife's wedding dress (8 years!) professionally packed in a box. Will immigration be sensitive to this or are they likely to open and unpack/ unwrap it? Thanks.

A very good Question mate! from my different internation trips, i can only tell you that who you are as a person is what the immigration dept is interested in. What stuff you are carrying is mainly dealt by the customes dept. From what i hear, OZ customs dept is very strict as they need to protect their unique ecology from outside invasions. So, you might be spared if the official is convinced of your answer. or, at first, they ask you to open and show the box rather than doing it themselves... again.. it's all from personal experience.. and each official is different from the next one..
