Best bet for MAC - PC, is Yahoo messenger for video and skype for the audio, both simultaneously, assuming both systems processors are fast enough.

With the MAC forget MSN as there is no webcam or audio facility.

You may try iChat on the Mac and AIM (www.aim.com) for the PC, but apparently this has varying results...or finally try iVisit (www.ivisit.com) on both Mac and PC....what worked best for me when in this situation was the Yahoo/Skype option, until my mother bought a Powerbook and we now use iChat - which is great.
