Default Weather thread! 28 degrees in our back garden!

It was a glorious day yesterday! Temps creeped up in my back garden to 28 degrees with a nice cooling breeze. I made my ten yr old erect my tubular framed hammock (its very comfy) and I lazed all day (completely covered in SPF 40, long sleeved top and hat). Now today its a bit dull, still warm but no blue skies. How's it doing in everyone elses back yards? Do you think weather/climate really is important?

It's warm here however, I am not in my back garden as we are trying to sort the house out as the packers come on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hope it stays warm after this as I have three weeks to get some sun before we leave for Melbourne. 3 weeks of no work ....... bliss!

It was lovely in our back yard today too, don't have a clue how many degrees but warm enough to put a smile on my face.

Theres charity for you!!! Actually Jim it did collapse on my 8 yr old (he's sporting a fab bruise to cheek) - we've all blamed the 10 yr out for constructing it!

So the weather does make everyone happy, more chilled?

Cooling breeze? Lucky you! We went to Whitby yesterday. The temperature was about 23-24C but swap "cooling breeze" for "bloody cold gale force winds"!!

Cloudy but warm enough here in the North East. Played cricket yesterday, at a small village near Middlesbrough and it was freezing with gale force winds. The weather in this country is mad! Forecast for the week is unsettled .....more rain

When you get to Melbourne in three weeks it will probably be 15c degrees with grey skies, few showers, this time of year. Your leaving sunny England for cold OZ.

Hooray!! At last its winter and I can fall asleep in my hammock without the risk of being burnt to a crisp. If you ask me this is the best season for enjoying the great SE QLD outdoors. But then some Brisbanites move up to Cairns just to keep warm, and we're off to Stanthorpe to chil and see those famous brass monkeys.

Hope you guys have a great UK summer.

It's definately cooling off here, yesterdays daytime temp, in Cleveland, didn't go above 21.8 °C.
