We are in Perth!!!!
Hi there
well we are here and have been since Friday (been busy so not much time at mo for internet!), have to say we have felt at home here from the moment we landed. Staying with friends has been a bonus as they have looked after us and headed us in right direction too but found everyone extremely helpful and polite so far, shop assistants, service people, bit of a refreshing change.
We hired a car for the week from Whitfords in Joondalup for $189 which suits us fine while we look for one this week, will let you know how that goes, lots of car dealers here.
Can't register for medicare til been here 10 days but can use doctors etc if necessary before that, I applied for Tax file number on line, Graham had his already as he's worked here before, collected all cards from HSBC in Perth, very easy, we used HIFX to transfer funds and they were good too.
Walking in Joondalup today, we happened across the Old Bailey (for those who remember PB), Graham swears he saw someone matching his description sat outside having a beer - he's still here!!!!!
Overall but new opinion, great shopping centres, easy to drive around, friendly people, lots to do and we are very happy bunnies!!!!

Great to hear you are all their safe and sound. We arrive two weeks on Tuesday and can't wait (although I've got to go back and sell the house etc !!
