hi all,
is there any other northerners on the goldcoast everyone we meet seems to be from down south, anyway were in pacific pines anyone up for a get together weve been here over a year would love to meet up for a coffee or drink or barbie let me know if anyones interested

No your not seen micheal owen just the other day ha ha yes haven,t met any either geordies sorry.But its still nice on the gold coast maybe go to the meet ups there might just be a couple there.:)

I'm a Geordie in Brisbane, and we rent our house from good friends of ours (who we met here) and who live around the corner form us and are also Geordies.

lol lucky you we havent met another couple where we live just began wondering wether we were the only ones here? hubbie missing the pint and footy coversations down the local pub anyone up for a meet up?

glad your settled and enjoying it, hubbie has some ozzie friends living in cleveland weve only lived in the one area pac pines but dont plan on staying in this area long term

I've only met 1 or 2 other Geordies round here (bayside brisbane). I left Whitley Bay about 14 years ago and my accent had to change ..... no-one could understand a word I said!!

lol we left whitley bay 15 months ago cant see our accent changing i do have to interperate for my hubbie though hes full on geordie so not many can understand him lol sometimes thats a good thing.
kids accents have started changing especially the 13 year oil wouldnt guess where shes from

That's strange. I'm from the South and what Brits I meet all come from the North:confused::lol:
