First up is the validation trip, we leave on Sat.
Then we've got to get back to ole blighty and try to sell the house, so realistically I reckon that we're looking at 2005Q2 before we can up sticks and go. No worries though, I don't mind waiting now that I've got the visas ! :D |

Hope you enjoy your validation trip!!!!!!! :) You are doing what we plan to do when (if!!) we get our visas. Validation trip first, then sell house, etc. We plan to go to Brisbane first then take internal flight over to Perth. We are lucky enough to have family in both places so will be staying with them. :) Havent booked anything yet........just gotta wait!!!!! Anyhow, safe journey, good luck with house sale and all the best for your new life in Oz!!!!! Regards, Cheeky!!! :)

Bit dissapointed that we didn't receive the famous "yellow envelope", just a plain white envelope but the grant letter inside more than made up for it. Our agent has pulled a few strings and arranged for me to visit Australia House in London and get the visas stuck in our passports on Monday morning. We're booked for the visa validation trip to Brissy (staying in Mount Tamborine) on Friday, talk about cutting it fine - whew ! Thanks to all on this board who have chipped in with answers to my questions over the past year and a bit. To everyone out there who feels stressed during the process - hang on in there - the weight that is lifted off your shoulders when that letter finally drops onto yuor doormat is an undescribable feeling.
