We got them!
Just heard from our agent, our visas for Skilled Independent came through today!!
Feel happy and scared at the same time!!
Thanks for all the info people post and good luck to everybody waiting.
We applied end May 2003, med/PC requests February 9th with a request for more info - all sent by February 27th - Not bad going eh!!
We have three kids and will be taking a trip to validate before January 28th 2005!!!!
I'm still in shock!!

Sounds like you're in the same boat as us, except we have two kids.

The closest we have got to celebrating today is replacing milk in our coffee with Baileys!! what can I expect with three kids in the Easter holidays (three boys, ages 8, 5 and 20 months).
We are not quite sure where to go, but our validation trip might help us make our minds up. We were set on Sydney, but not sure now, maybe Melbourne.. We live in London, and I have done for years so I think I need a city nearby - everybody tells me that both those cities are not as full on as London which is what we want, but to have the hustle and bustle if we want it.
My other half is a builder, so I suppose we would be OK in either place - our ideal would be to buy land eventually and he can build us a house. We are not going to sell our house in London and just see how things go!
I am so used to reading this site and replying to the odd thread and I just can't believe that we have got our visa!! I suppose we can start looking at flights soon! Once we have validated, we probably won't make the move for a couple of years so we can sort everything out and I should have got my head round it all by then!!
