We got our VISAS - at last!
Hey you lot,
Guess what?
The paperbases are moving, we lodged 22nd Oct 07 and was granted this morning so it wont be long for you all.
What we want to know now is where are all these discounted flights are?
We hear that once you are granted you qualify for discounts for one way flights.
Mines a 175.
Goos luck to all the slowcoach paperbase people.
Our time has come at last.

Congratulations guys! Yeah i too have heard that you can have some kind of dicount. Why don't you e-mail the various air lines and ask for quotes. I think you also get extra luggage allowance too.

We were in Brisbane last week and I called diac on the Friday, the lady said shed lean on her manager as our paperwork was ready to sign off.
I chased it the following Monday and was told we had a CO and we needed additional paperwork, a ref from an old job.
We flew home 10 days ago, got the ref and sent it off same day.
CO to Grant took 2 weeks but that was for us, I cant speak for youselves.
We were advised by our agent NOT to chase diac ourselves as they dont like being hassled and can sometimes put you at the bottom of the pile but if your prepared to be patient and humour them then they are really nice and helpfull people.
You can always try the nicey nice way - it wont hurt and info is free!

Application was recieved 19th October 07 and was aknowledged 22nd October, then 9 months of waiting around.
