watching UK TV - VPN?

Hi

how do ppl watch BBC iplayer netflix etc in Oz? ive still got a valid tv license but i cant watch online TV due to internet IP location. Does anyone use VPN and have a recomendation? thanks

I use SmartyDNS and have set-up a VPN through their service. From memory, they charge around USD 14 per quarter.

We are able to watch all UK free-to-air shows either live or via their respective on-demand sites without issues.

Netflix will work just fine without any VPN or messing around with stuff - just keep in mind that the shows available in each country can vary due to licensing issues. A good way to check availability is this site: Netflix Global Search on uNoGS

But if you really must then a VPN is probably the best way forward, though I'm not sure you'll get the best picture quality this way as you are actually streaming the content via the UK as opposed to locally.
