We brought our Miele with us. Mr J plugged/plumbed it in a few weeks back and it's working fine. No problems I don't think.

Cheers

That's an old chestnut that gets asked every couple of weeks. Try a search.

In general fridges / freezers aren't up to the job over there and often fall foul of CFC rules etc.

Washing machines work and are often better than the most you can get in Aus (top loaders - people say they don't clean clothes and can rip them)

TV's need retuning (not always possible) or playing through an Aussie VCR/ DVD player

Games consoles work okay

DVD players need to be multi-region or sometimes you can "hack" them with codes off the internet.

etc etc etc

Gonna start printing out all of these useful posts now so I don't start repeating myself over the next few months!!

Thanks again

Loads of replies on this but very useful one recently in reply to me (yep again), if you can find it.

Re TVs - go and buy a DVD/Video player. Good makes are pretty cheap then the TV will play through the video. We did this last week and all is well with the world.
