Bloody hell. Quarantine at Fremantle port inspected my shipping container today, and two of my artificial trees need to be either treated or destroyed. I had no idea that they contain real plant material - the branches of one and the moss around the other - they were advertised and bought as artificial. I feel pretty terrible about inadvertently shipping something that could be dangerous to Aussie flora, but luckily bloody good spotting by Quarantine!

Treat is $1,100, destroy $88. Bye bye plants, I really liked you but not that much!

Weird that they were sold as artificial. Good job you didn't have them as carry on on the plane. You'd have been on Border Security.
